As I mentioned in my first post, my design approach is deeply human_centered. Which officially is described as “A design & management framework that develops solutions to problems by involving the human perspective in all steps of the problem-solving process.”
.
To make these tangible and intangible human perspectives actionable, I use different research techniques that uncover the most relevant human-factors (Physical, Cognitive & Organizational - ergonomic). As, with the time, I particularly gained a strong interest and knowledge in the cognitive aspects of human-centered design.

This interest became especially clear to me, reading the book ‘Emotional Design’ from Donal Norman.
In which he ao. describes a very inspiring design technique named ‘Three Levels of design’. Separating; the visceral level [01], the behavioral level [02] and the reflective level [03]. From ‘Affective reactions’ up to ‘Cognitive thoughts’ and from sensory-systems [04] to motor-systems [05]. I strongly recommend this book, as well as the other books & articles of Donald Norman ’s hand.

This mainly concerns the nervous-system, though I also started to explore & value the other human-systems. A followup in the next post.
